Taking lead on all digital programs during a massive organizational pivot

The org’s principal stepped away to run for office and most of the senior staff joined him. What happened next?

Humanity Forward became a powerhouse lobbyist for the people. I led all digital aspects of the transformation — with a focus on rebuilding our digital foundations and giving our messaging a new, unique voice fit for today’s internet and DC power players.

  • Fresh messaging

    Revamped organizational messaging to educate, entertain, and engage potential donors and volunteers. I relaunched our merch store with an emphasis on catering to young people. We worked with Syrmor and Qasim Rashid to produce a VR interview fit for millions of fans.

  • Creative engagement

    I oversaw the launching of an organizational podcast, led our website redesign, and increased our social media engagement tenfold. I teamed up with Netflix’s Head of Anime, Rob Pereyda, to create video content that catered to our wide array of supporters.

  • Steady leadership

    When I took over, I overhauled how we brought in outside contractors so they could more efficiently create content for us. I oversaw the volunteer tech team’s implementation of organizational goals, and I got to address hundreds of supporters at a time town-hall-style on organizational strategy.
